The first three years of a child’s life are the most critical for their development. But quality, full-time infant care is out of reach for many Texas parents at over $18k per child per year – more than a minimum wage worker makes in a full year! Without help, parents may have to quit work or school to care for their child.
Project One Day is reimagining how childcare works. 0-3 year old children receive 5 days (50 hours) per week of high-quality, tuition-free care in exchange for their parents assisting one of those days in the classroom. That means parents can work or finish school while their children are cared for during their most critical developmental stage.
